As board member Buy & Build responsible for strategic finance: • Responsible for deal sourcing, negotiations, Due Diligence, Bank financing, closing, and managing the full integration afterward. Participated in meetings with 30+ companies, managed 8 DD, and closed 4 acquisitions. I was also responsible for drafting the investment docs for the Waterland Partner Board • Led the finance team in transitioning from no finance team (0.5fte), all paper and only one annual closing, to full multi-country, multi-currency with daily insights with a team of 8fte • Designed new KPI’s, end-to-end processes, and dashboards • Served as the bank’s primary contact and led the renegotiation process of our covenants during Covid • Managed the merger of Viqtor Davis, Valcon and First Consulting, helped to draft the new organization

Alliander

Responsible for six Corporate Ventures and six companies in the Investment portfolio. • Contributed to the success of all M&A (3 exits) and the restructuring activities for the investment portfolio • Rewrote and simplified the business propositions and created valuable insight via business cases • Optimized the financial structure of Alliander Telecom to gain full insight into its largest project € >150M • Built finance and operations from the ground up for 4 Corporate Ventures NewMotion (acquired by Shell in Oct’17), Ziut (acquired by Spie July’17), Redstack (acquired March’17)

Science Rockstars

Late 2014, Science Rockstars was acquired by Webpower. • Built the business from the ground up, including all Financial, Legal, Tax, Sales, and HR processes • Grew from 5fte to 15fte and the revenue to 1M+ • Guided the buy-out of 3 shareholders • Managed successful angel investment round and the subsequent exit to a strategic buyer

Nutreco

I was part of the small Internal Audit department of Nutreco. Internal Audit is responsible for reviewing all subsidiary companies worldwide. During my time at Nutreco, I have reviewed 30+ subsidiaries in over 20+ countries around the world, such as Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Canada, the USA, and many European counties. The focus was on financial and operational procedures. Risks and improvements were presented to local management and reported to the Executive Board.

PwC

Reviewed the design of operations, financial-statement accounts, and managed team members throughout the audit. • Managed the planning and completing of audits within strict deadlines; focused on larger companies • Received the best job appraisal report for three consecutive years (based on performance and direct hours)

Phocas

Rowing 6 - 10x per week to compete in Dutch Varsity league An active member of the NSRV Phocas and fraternity Achelous. Enjoyed competing with a team at the national level.
