Led all finance functions and shared services including procurement, IT, OT, and legal for $3B+ dairy company with 12 plants across the Pacific Northwest and subsidiaries in Mexico, UAE, and Singapore. Responsible for 180+ finance and shared service professionals across multiple facilities. Spearheaded the development of a 5 year strategic plan that secured nearly $1B in new debt and equity. Delivered $150MM of annual P&L improvements as part of a transformation and restructuring initiative between 2022 and 2024.

City of Hope

Led Strategic Decision Support function and was acting CFO for highly rated healthcare delivery and research organization operating 40+ clinical and research facilities across multiple states with diverse revenue streams including grants, government and commercial payor, sponsored research, and philanthropy totaling $3.5B+. Managed finance, procurement and project management office (PMO) totaling 150 professionals. Developed and led into execution in 2017 a new strategic plan that included $1B+ in capital projects, development of new revenue models, and a digital transformation initiative. Responsible for managing credit rating and successfully completed bond issuance. Orchestrated financial strategy for multiple acquisitions including TGen in 2018 and Cancer Treatment Centers of America in 2022 as well as significant real estate transactions in multiple states. Secured external equity investments in B2B cancer advisory spin-out in 2021.

Leader of the FP&A function as well as the revenue cycle. Development of strategic financial and capital plans. Improved physician and research leadership alignment across institutional goals, increasing revenue cycle efficiency, sponsored research revenue and philanthropy ROI. Implemented new FP&A system that reduced budget cycle time by 40%. Led a “Value-Targeting” initiative, generating $45MM P&L enhancement in 2 years

Mars Global Chocolate

Leading a global expert team focused on building SRM capabilities across the global operations of Mars Chocolate. Focused on identifying strategic pricing opportunities and improving effectiveness of promotional spending globally. Delivering recommendations, including pricing and promotion strategies, to both country and regional management teams. Ownership for several cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving Price, Trade and Distribution Architecture in both mature and developing markets and on track to deliver 10% ROI improvement in multi-billion dollar Trade and Marketing budget.

Mars Food North America

Business partner to the CEO in designing and executing a new strategic agenda for the North American Food business and position it for significant investment. This resulted in a significant revenue growth EBITDA margins that more than doubled in 5 years. Working Capital efficiency provided funds that were reinvested into asset expansion enabling new product innovations.

Mars Ventures for Health and Nutrition

CFO for the health and nutrition division of Mars North America. focused on funding and commercialization internal assets in the areas of sports nutrition, cardiovascular health, and overall health and wellness. Focused on managing the investment profiles for new ventures in their various stages of commercial development. This also included selecting and implementing initial accounting systems and finance policies as well as hiring initial staff for the start-up companies.

Seeds of Change

Seeds of Change is founded in 1989 with a revolutionary mission: to make organically grown seeds available to gardeners and farmers, while preserving rare heirloom and traditional seed varieties, and promoting sustainable organic agricultural practices. The business provides its products through multiple channels: D2C, to professional growers as well as through retailers in both the US as well as the UK. Designed and gained approval for an investment plan that significantly accelerated the business.

Masterfoods US - Mars Inc.

Responsible for running the strategic portfolio and financial planning processes across Masterfoods USA. The largest region within Mars, Inc consisting of 8 SBU's including Snackfood, Petcare and Food as well as smaller retail and D2C businesses.

MFE - Mars, Inc.

As Europe formed into a single region for MFE, my responsibility was to design and run a consolidated financial planning process across 20+ European factories and 20+ market/country business units.
